Your new role
Our client is seeking a Senior Architect/Technician to provide architectural services to support the Director of Strategy and Planning and to assist with the design and planning team. A role which engages all business units, you will have an excellent ability to communicate with stakeholders, providing advice, guidance and managing expectations with strong relationship-building skills.
A temporary ongoing position with Hays, with an opportunity to move to a permanent position with the client
Responsibilities
Test fits for workplace, teaching spaces, informal study areas, labs and various general space types.
Scoping and documentation of works for minor works and small projects in written and CAD form
Development of architectural briefs for larger projects
Advising on best practice design and compliance
Review of CAD drawings from internal and external designers ensuring best practice
Undertake feasibility studies and provide architectural input into business cases
Communicate with stakeholders; both internal and external
What you'll need to succeed
7 years’ experience in a similar role; Commercial Fit-outs and/or Workplace experience
Knowledge of Australian Codes relative to building design and compliance
Strong analytical and conceptual skills
Advanced CAD skills, Excel and PowerPoint
Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and presentation skills
Excellent approach to client services
