Hays has partnered with a leading provider that manages the delivery, upgrades and maintenance of water and wastewater treatment infrastructure in the Gold Coast area. Due to a strong pipeline of current and upcoming work, our client is currently recruiting experienced civil and mechanical senior Project Engineers with backgrounds in water, waste management, pipeline and pump station projects.

Your new role

Our client has been tasked with supplying asset lifecycle delivery services across the city's water and sewerage networks over the next decade. As a maintenance project manager for water infrastructure, you will ensure the proper functioning of water systems by managing repair schedules, budgets, and teams. You also implement strategies and ensure smooth delivery of both planned and reactive maintenance projects.

What you'll need to succeed
  • 5+ years of maintenance project management experience within the water industry.
  • Work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field or relevant management experience
  • A current "C" Class driver’s licence.
  • Ability to contribute to team direction, provide and receive feedback, and achieve performance standards.
