Part-Time Bookkeeper

Permanent part-time bookkeeper position for an architectural company based in the South Melbourne suburbs

This ever-growing architectural company is looking for a part-time bookkeeper to look after all aspects of their finance function. This company is an incredibly inclusive and collaborative business, and you will be a key stakeholder in the development of this business, from enhancing and streamlining its finance function to also helping make key strategic decisions.

Your new role

On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • End to end accounts payable
  • End to end accounts receivable
  • Looking after all payroll functions. Fortnightly payment runs for cirac 20 staff members, all salaried.
  • Reconciliations
  • Reimbursments and journaling.
  • Helping produce reports
  • Assist with the preparing and completion of BAS lodgements and FBT
  • Other adhoc duties included.

What you'll need to succeed

  • You will need to have previous bookkeeping experience to help take ownership of accounts.

  • You must be able to do payroll to ensure employees get paid correctly.

  • If you have Xero experience, this will be highly advantageous to your application.

  • You must have strong communication skills to liaise with multiple stakeholders of the business.

  • Problem-solving will be a very important skill to have in this role as well as team work to ensure that everyone is working together to a collective goal.

What you'll get in return

You will be joining a highly collaborative business. There will be a salary of around $80,000 pro rata. The role will be around 3–4 days per week (context dependent, but they can be flexible). There is free on-site parking and the role is fully office-based.
