Your new role

• Preparing and submitting precise customs documentation and declarations in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

• Liaising with customs officials, DAFF, shipping companies, freight forwarders, and other parties to address customs and DAFF-related concerns.

• Offering specialised advice and expertise to clients regarding customs laws, tariff classifications, and duty obligations.

• Keeping thorough records and guaranteeing all required paperwork is organised and easily accessible.

• Staying informed about updates to customs regulations, laws, and policies to maintain compliance standards.

• Working alongside the logistics team to streamline customs clearance procedures and enhance operational efficiency.

What you'll need to succeed

• Proven experience as a customs broker with DAFF accreditation.

• Thorough understanding of customs laws, regulations, and procedures.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise advice to clients.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex customs requirements.

• Highly organised and detail-oriented, with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet tight deadlines and deliver high-quality work.
