We are seeking an Underground Mine Geologist to join our client's Geology team on an 8:6 roster from Perth on a 3-6 month assignment. The successful candidate will have 2 years+ UG Geology experience and will be responsible for overseeing geological operations within our underground mine, ensuring accurate data collection, analysis, and interpretation to optimise mining performance and safety. This role requires an understanding of geological principles and practices, with a focus on evaluating mineral resources and providing insights into the geological structure of the mine site.

• Conduct detailed geological mapping and sampling within the underground mine to support resource evaluation and planning.
• Analyse geological data to assess mineral quality and stratigraphy, aiding in the determination of orebody limits.
• Collaborate with mining engineers and other technical teams to develop and optimise mine plans based on geological insights.
• Monitor and report on geological conditions during the mining process to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in the development and maintenance of geological databases and mapping software for accurate reporting.
• Prepare and present geological reports and recommendations to management and stakeholders at various stages of the mining cycle.

• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in underground mining geology
• Strong knowledge of geological modelling software and geological interpretation techniques.
• Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation, including geostatistics and resource estimation methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex geological information to diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety practices and experience working in underground mine environments.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting and manage multiple priorities effectively.
