They are seeking a permanent part-time Payroll Officer who is passionate about payroll – if you have experience in blue-collar industries, that is a huge bonus! This role can be 3 days or shorter hours spread across 4/5 days – perfect for working parents who need to work within school hours!

Your new role

In this standalone role, you will:

• Process end-to-end payroll for a small-medium workforce across different entities on a weekly and monthly basis
• Set up new employees, process terminations and redundancy payments, process timesheets and calculate super, payroll tax, etc.
• Complete reconciliation and relevant checks, ensure
• Interpret complex Awards, EBAs, various rates and allowances.
• Advise on relevant legislation and payroll requirements for new projects

What you'll need to succeed

• Demonstrated experience in payroll processing, standalone payroll is advantageous!
• Able to work part-time and commit to a permanent role
• Exposure to major payroll systems is beneficial
• Experience with complex EBAs, rates, Awards and various allowances
• Great communication skills to discuss relevant payroll issues with stakeholders at all levels of the business
• Excellent attention to detail is needed in this role
• Eager to learn and be autonomous
• Able to commit to being in the office for the first 6 months
