Our client delivers integrated criminal, civil and community justice services to enable a fair, safe, and inclusive society for all Queenslanders. Our client is looking to bring on a Service Transition Manager for an initial 12 month contract.
Your new role
- Evaluate existing Programs and Projects and guiding the development of ICT service delivery and transition plans that cover the scope and characteristics of each program and project
- Liaising with Program Managers and Project Managers to assist in establishing of transition plans and to ensure transition plans meet changing needs to the program deliverables.
- Ensure ICT Service designs and transition plans incorporate critical elements of Information Technology Information Library (ITIL) service design package (SDP) such as Service Definition, Cost Model, Operational Readiness Plan, Operational Handover Checklist.
- Work with Project and Change Managers to coordinate and implement changes to business-as-usual (BAU) environment where applicable within people, process and technology areas.
- Develop and implement the operational readiness plan including ICT deployment, data migration, support documentation and acceptance checklists, training and engagement activities and any business activities required to integrate new processes or work into the ‘business as usual’ environment. Develop and implement operational readiness artefacts including but not limited to Knowledge Articles, support processes, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders including customers and suppliers to develop and improve services.
- Ensure programs and projects deliver service development and transition outcomes that satisfies the end business requirements and program governance requirements.
- Monitoring and reporting on the progress of ICT Service transition implementation against established deliverables and analysing and identifying emerging risks and issues that may impact plans towards ‘business as usual’ end state.
- Making recommendations for Service Improvement plans.
What you'll need to succeed
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Service Design and Transition
- Experience in working on complex ICT projects / programs / transformations for business-critical systems at the enterprise level
- Relevant experience in IT Service Management working in a complex IT enterprise environment which includes offshore, outsourced IT engagements (ITL4TM Certification)
