This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading Defence Industry organisation supporting defence and maritime technology, and constructing defence vessels. Currently seeking a Field Engineer to join their team delivering front line engineering support and waterfront support.
Your new role
- Provide and review Problem Identification Report technical responses.
- Analyse Requests for Variance to assess proposed changes.
- Undertake analysis, design, and development of Technical Instructions.
- Conduct maintenance and defect investigations.
- Foster and maintain customer and enterprise relationships.
- Assist in Cannibalisation and Authority to fit process.
- Develop TM200 for Urgent Defect Rectification.
- Ensure Product Safety implications are managed throughout the Engineering Lifecycle.
- Provide engineering/technical advice on vessel operations and maintenance.
- Review TM200’s and Engineering Change IWP’s for technical issues.
- Conduct tasks as directed by the Engineering Services Manager.
- Conduct single-domain technical investigations and analysis.
- Plan, deliver, and monitor tasks to meet time, quality, and cost requirements.
- Produce technical documentation and solutions.
- Contribute to process improvement and sustainable solutions.
What you'll need to succeed
- Must be eligible/ hold an Australian Defence Security clearance as NV1
- Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- Bachelors degree in engineering or hold recognised engineering qualifications to obtain Professional Engineer Category Membership through a recognised body
- Proven experience in Marine / Industrial areas preferred.
- Satisfactory understanding of applicable engineering toolsets
- Experience in the design, operation or maintenance of complete/ large vessels
