The Parliamentary Network Support Group (PNSG) resides within the Joint Services Division of the Parliament of South Australia. The PNSG is responsible for the delivery of critical IT functions and requirements, including determining high level priorities for the development and ongoing management of services to the customer base of the Parliamentary network.
Your new role
The newly created Senior Developer role requires work under broad direction, which involves a range of critical and complex technical activities for the Parliament of South Australia in the planning, development, maintenance, and support of the enterprise Parliamentary Internet and Intranet Portal (PIIP).
The incumbent requires highly specialised technical skills as well refined interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with a team-first approach, developing and maintaining effective consultative relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders and service providers.
Day to day responsibilities require the incumbent to lead on project-based work, while also maintaining BAU. The Senior Developer is expected to work in a collaborative team environment, providing mentorship to junior members as well as effectively working autonomously, taking initiative to methodically troubleshoot and provide robust evidence-based solutions.
What you'll need to succeed
- Extensive web design and development experience in .NET Core, C#, Angular, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and REST APIs
- Experience working with Azure Cloud Technologies.
- Experience with providing and maintaining accurate and detailed IT documentation.
- Highly refined interpersonal skills with the ability to consult, influence, mentor and support a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Demonstrate a growth mindset: committed to continuous learning, development and improvement.
- Strong conceptual, analytical and research skills with a keen eye for attention to detail, to analyse problems and formulate robust achievable practical solutions.
- Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively in a complex and challenging technical environment.
- Ability to apply for and maintain an Australian government NV1 level security clearance -
Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency is essential.
