Job Opportunity: Records Manager – 3-Month Contract Location: Ombudsman NSW
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Records Manager to join our team for a 3-month contract position, focused on achieving remaining project milestones. This role is pivotal in ensuring the effective management of records and archives, adhering to high standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Analyse, administer, and improve records and document management systems in line with organisational goals.
Implement and manage archives to meet the requirements of the NSW State Records Act 1998 and related guidelines.
Facilitate the transfer of records to the State Archives Collection, ensuring ongoing compliance and administration.
Provide high-level customer service and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.
Handle competing priorities with precision, attention to detail, and discretion, always maintaining confidentiality.
Essential Requirements
Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent demonstrated knowledge and experience in records management systems, principles, and practices.
Expert understanding of the NSW State Records Act 1998 and Guidelines, with practical archive implementation experience.
Excellent written and interpersonal skills, with strong customer service abilities to communicate effectively and build relationships.
Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and confidentiality.
