Your new role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the BAC team in a leadership position. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be the principal support to the Financial Controller and you will provide day-day leadership to the AP and AR team.
This position is integral and pivotal to the success of the organisation. You will be responsible for the provision of financial accounting services, including the preparation of period end close reports, maintenance and development of reconciliations of GL accounts and the preparation of GST, FBT and Payroll Tax reports for filing with ATO and State Revenue Office
You will also deliver comprehensive management reporting on a monthly and adhoc basis. Responsible for assisting with forecasts, budgets and variance analysis, you will work closely with the business to communicate financial information to stakeholders and play an integral part in the organisation’s continuing growth.
Your Primary Objectives
- To support the business in achieving stated financial goals
- To ensure that Management Accounts and other financial data is available on an accurate, concise and up-to-date basis
- Provide key analytical support to the Financial Controller
- To support and develop the finance team through constructive leadership, and ensure continuity of information to both internal and external stakeholders
- To recommend and support continuous improvement of our business systems and processes
- Manage company taxation obligations
- Provide backup support for the Payroll function
What you'll need to succeed
This is a great job for an experienced Financial/Management accountant who can demonstrate success in a similar broad and hands on role, preferably in a manufacturing environment. You, at least, possess qualifications and you are working towards your CPA qualification.
You are someone who is determined to meet deadlines and someone who can demonstrate a high level of analytical, problem solving and decision making skills. You communicate at the highest level and you are someone who takes pride in everything that you do.
