Your new role As a Complaints Officer in the Complaints Branch, your responsibilities will include:
- Handling a variety of complaints.
- Making prompt decisions to advance or close cases as an authorised decision-maker.
- Effectively communicating with both internal and external stakeholders, through verbal and written means.
- Engaging regularly with the public via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
- Identifying and escalating new issues, trends, and systemic problems.
- Collaborating effectively within a team, participating in corporate activities, and providing training and mentorship as needed.
- Contributing to the overall performance of the Complaints Branch and the Office in a cooperative and inclusive manner.
- Representing the Office with professionalism and integrity.
- Performing administrative and project-related tasks as required.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in the role you will have:
- Strong research and critical analysis abilities.
- Proficiency in conveying complex information clearly to diverse audiences, both verbally and in writing.
- Sound judgment, discretion, and common sense in stakeholder interactions and decision-making.
- Efficiency and effectiveness in achieving results.
Experience in complaint handling, investigations, or regulatory roles (such as application assessment, compliance monitoring, audit, or enforcement).
