Do you want an exciting sustainability position and the opportunity to indirectly support our Defence personnel? Our client is a Government Business Enterprise providing housing and related services to Australia’s Defence personnel and their families. We are looking for a dynamic and motivated sustainability professional to support their new sustainability/ESG team.

Your new role

The Sustainability Program Support Officer will provide administrative and operational support to one or more portfolio functions of Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) in managing the ESG program. This role is essential in supporting the delivery of key activities within the ESG program. The Sustainability Program Support Officer will assist in delivering core work of the ESG function, supporting efficient and effective governance for key activities, as well as preparing documentation and communicating with key stakeholders involved in these activities.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualification in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a similar field
  • Australian citizenship is a must
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Current Baseline clearance is preferred
