APS6 Payroll Officer

Your new role

• Working with the external provider to process the fortnightly payroll, including checking of final pay reports.
• Processing payroll, including commencements, terminations, leave, superannuation, higher duties, and other staff movements, allowances, and overtime claims.
• Managing leave liabilities for incoming and outgoing transfers.
• Ensuring accurate records management across the payroll system and internal records.
• Providing support to staff and managers for the Employee Self Service portal.
• Managing the HR ticketing system.
• Stakeholder management, providing advice to staff and managers on conditions of service, including the application of internal guidelines and policies.
• Researching and advising on legislative and policy areas, including the Enterprise Agreement, Maternity Leave Act, Long Service Leave Act, etc.

What you'll need to succeed

You will need to have experience working in a similar capacity within the Federal Government within a payroll officer role. The ideal candidate will already have an AGSVA Baseline Security Clearance.
