This Federal Government Agency based in Southbank, Melbourne, provides essential services to businesses, researchers and individuals to protect and promote innovation. They are currently seeking an APS6 Property Officer to join the Property and Services Section, initially for a 3-month Non-Ongoing contract.
Your new role
Responsibilities include:
- Oversee building leases and manage associated financial obligations
- Lead procurement, budget planning, and reporting activities
- Coordinate the use of conference and amenities rooms to meet organisational needs
- Provide oversight of furniture and equipment assets, including assistance with disposals
- Manage regular and ad hoc building maintenance services
- Oversee contracts, including building services, Whole of Australian Government arrangements, and systems
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
- Manage on-site car park use and staff car park ballots
- Provide emergency response support as required
- Due to the nature of this work, this is an office-based position.
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience in a Property/Facilities-based role
- Demonstrated ability to work within a governance framework, guidelines and procedures
- Knowledge of the commonwealth procurement rules is advantageous.
- Ability to work collaboratively and cohesively with a growing, diverse team of APS staff
- High-level written and verbal communication skills
- You must be an Australian Citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance.
What you'll get in return

- Salary circa $95k - $108k + 15.4% superannuation
