A large government agency is looking for a UAT Test Lead to join them on a contract basis. This is an initial 12-month contract position.

Your new role

This role requires an automation test lead/manager to lead the application testing of the Digital Services Program within budget, timeframe, and quality standards to drive innovation and build digital capability within the organisation.

What you'll need to succeed

• Lead a team of testers to meet the product goals and quality standards.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks.

• Evaluate and adopt tools/technologies to enhance testing efficiency.

• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and monitor execution metrics.

• Troubleshoot automation failures and optimise test scripts for performance.

• Be the conduit between vendor teams, system owners, technical teams, the project, and the business teams on all testing matters.

• Facilitate the delivery of all prerequisites and blockers that are required. Raise any critical blockers (whether upcoming or materialised) for project stakeholders.

• Liaise with all source system owners and the TDS teams who need to deliver on connectivity and/or any other technical requirements or issues.

• Jump in and help with any hands-on testing from time to time.

• Manage the test activities and deliverables.

• Prepare and present daily test progress reports, and the summary reports.

• Coordinate with technical and non-technical audiences to perform test activities.

• Maintain knowledge of current and future technology, especially Test Automation technologies.

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in software testing, 5 years’ extensive experience in the Test Manager/Test Lead role under onshore/offshore working mode.
• Experienced in test automation, minimum 5 years’ hands-on experience in either Selenium or Playwright.
• Experienced at developing automation frameworks, test scripts and CI/CD for large-scale projects.
• Demonstrated excellent ability to work with internal and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to establish work priorities and manage deadlines.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experienced at supporting digital design, development, testing, and business change management activities.
• Familiar with UI testing and API testing.
• Experience in data migration testing, performance testing and accessibility testing will be considered as a plus.
