Your new role

As a Cloud Security Engineer, you will provide critical support for the management and development of the department's cloud security infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include supporting security operations engineering projects within the Azure environment, deploying cloud-based security services, and developing enterprise-level architecture documentation. You will liaise with cross-functional teams to produce solutions in accordance with stakeholder requirements and project objectives. Additionally, you will promote key enterprise architecture principles and ensure alignment with the Digital Service Standard.

What you'll need to succeed

• Demonstrated experience (5+ years) supporting security operations engineering projects within the Azure environment.

• Experience managing cloud-based security services such as Sentinel, MS Defender, SIEM solutions, Endpoint Protection services (EDR), Office 365, Data Loss Prevention tools, CASB, Vulnerability Scanning, and Management.

• Experience in cloud-based solution implementation with technologies including Azure Logic Apps, Azure SQL, Azure Service Bus, and Azure API Manager.

• Experience developing and deploying solutions using Azure DevOps and Visual Studio, with CI/CD.

• Ability to work with geographically dispersed teams and collaborate with both technical and non-technical staff.

• Experience working with Agile multi-disciplinary teams to deliver secure, user-friendly, and reliable solutions.
