My client, a State Government department, is looking for a Communications Coordinator to come on board and join their team in this fast-paced and dynamic role.

Your new role

As the Communications Coordinator, you will support the communications team by writing and developing strategic communications plans in a timely manner. Your role will include providing high-quality editing services, managing communication channels with both internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring the website and intranet are up-to-date. Additionally, you will contribute to and coordinate the delivery of communication improvement projects, initiatives, and procedures.

You will work effectively and collaboratively within a team, maintaining and building relationships with employees at all levels of the organisation. You will adhere to approval guidelines to ensure all publications meet the department's standards.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work autonomously within a team with a can-do attitude
  • A keen eye for detail
  • Ability to juggle multiple important tasks with competing deadlines
  • Able to take complex subject matter and translate it into plain English
  • Ability to stay up to date with current communication trends and technologies
  • Able to write to a style guide and adhere to the department's guidelines for approval
