Customer Service Officer

Contact Centre support role for government organisations based in Ipswich

Working on behalf of a government organisation, you will provide outstanding contact centre support to its valued clients. Having a dedication to customer service over the phone and representing this government client, you will support their customers with day-to-day enquiries. This is a high-volume, fast-paced contact centre position where you are required to be an Australian Citizen. Your new role

Working on behalf of this government client, you will be taking phone calls from the public about enquiries and providing outstanding customer service. Some enquiries may be general information updates (i.e. address change), assistance with lodging returns or potentially discussing payment plan outstanding. This is an inbound and outbound contact centre position.
Working in the Ipswich region, you will have the ability to work between 7am–8pm on a rotating roster, with future work from home hybrid arrangements discussed within 3 months of employment. The office is located close to public transport. This is a permanent, full-time position, with an ASAP start. Background checks are required for this position, which can take up to 20 days. You will need to be patient during the background check period, but friendly staff will be able to assist you along the way!

What you'll need to succeed

  • You MUST be an Australian Citizen and provide relevant supporting documents.
  • Work on a rotating roster between 7am-8pm
  • Confidence to hit KPI requirements in a high-volume contact centre
  • Excellent customer service skills - No prior contact centre experience required!
  • Ability to navigate 2 computer screens and multiple computer systems while on the phone with a customer
