This exclusive Senior Planner opportunity will allow the successful candidate to join a strong local government planning team working in their centrally located offices. You will be encouraged and supported by their switched-on multi-disciplinary team in this well-regarded contract opportunity.

Your new role

With no signs of development slowing in the area, and a large increase in development applications, the team are looking to bring on an experienced Senior DA Planner to assist with a range of complex applications, including but not limited to town centre and mixed-use developments.

• Attend and provide advice at various local and regional planning panel meetings.
• Liaise with and provide knowledge-based advice to senior staff.
• Preparation of reports as required for land and environmental court proceedings.
• Take a proactive approach to further development of current processes.
• Assist the team to help process applications accurately and within designated timeframes.

What you'll need to succeed

You will have previous experience of Development Assessment in a NSW Local Government Authority or State Government, as well as a tertiary qualification in Planning or related field. A minimum of 3 years NSW Planning experience is required. You will be involved in discussions with the public, therefore, you must be able to negotiate solutions to complex and sensitive matters.
