Your new company
You will be working with a Government Department as a Data Scientist in the Analytics Reform Branch. This branch is responsible for data and analysis to support evidence-based decisions and policies.
Your new role
As the Data Scientist, you will be responsible for the development, implementation and the management of efficient, effective and sustainable funding programs. Data and analysis to support evidence-based decisions and policies. The design, development and implementation to establish a new program which will replace a separate Commonwealth Programme.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered, you will need:
- R (RStudio)
- Machine Learning (ML)
- Basic SQL skills working on Oracle
- DevOps - ability to use GIT will be a nice to have
- Data reporting using excel and/ or visualisation tool (Power BI, Qlik)
- Statistical knowledge/ ability to do machine learning modelling will be nice to have (including regression, dimension reduction, data distributions etc)
You must be an Australian citizen and will possess or be willing to go through the process to obtain and maintain a (Baseline) personnel security clearance.
What you'll get in return
In return you will secure a competitive hourly rate with an initial contract to March 2025 with possible extension options.
