Hays Technology are collaborating with a global IT consulting company to appoint an IT Support Specialist to an initial 2-month contract supporting one of their key clients, with the potential for extension. This role requires a dedicated professional to work 5 days on-site at the Brisbane office. The position may involve travel, which will be covered, and occasional weekend work.

Your new role

You will also be responsible for:

• Installing, configuring, and maintaining desktop applications, operating systems, and peripherals, ensuring compliance with company standards.
• Utilising ServiceNow to manage IT service requests, track incidents, and ensure timely resolution of security-related issues.
• Supporting end-users with technical troubleshooting, resolving hardware and software issues, and ensuring the smooth functioning of IT systems.
• Ensuring that all workplace technology systems are updated, patched, and compliant with organisational security protocols.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role you will need to have the following:

• Proven experience in desktop support and technical troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of Windows OS environments and Active Directory.
• Experience with ServiceNow or similar IT service management tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with end-users.

What you'll get in return

You will be offered a 2-month contract working 37.5 hours a week with an hourly rate between $35/hourly and $43/hourly + super dependent on experience. There is potential for an extension! The role is on-site which is based in Brisbane, CBD.
