Steel company based in Derrimut is looking to expand its team and requires a dispatch coordinator to join their team in a role which will lead to permanent

Your new role

- Oversee all the activities in the Galintel/Weldlok Dispatch area.
- Coordinate with the Warehouse Supervisor to direct day to day duties of the warehouse-based team
- Complete dispatch administration; Manifesting, POD's, scheduling, and all other administrative requirements.
- Arranging the timely unloading of all incoming stock
- Operate counter balance Forklift
- Ensuring incoming stock is recorded and checked, reporting any deficiencies upon receipt
- Lead and coordinate in the picking and packing of orders
- Achieves and maintains order picking targets to set guidelines
- Supervises and assists in the timely despatch of goods, including achieving DIFOT targets
- Process delivery manifests appropriate to each run
- Conduct accurate stock takes
- Organises maintenance of forklifts
- Support the induction of employees, Labour Hire personnel & Contractors as per procedures.
- Participate in all Safety Checklists are being completed and sign offs
- Carry out Workplace inspections.
- Optimisation of transport loads
- Ensuring all company policies and procedures are followed, including conducting safety meetings / PM Toolbox talks

What you'll need to succeed

- Minimum 4-5 years experience in a Warehousing / Dispatch environment
- LF forklift licence and min 3 years experience
- Previous experience in the steel industry or in a manufacturing environment is highly regarded
- Understanding of WHS &Q policies and procedures
- Cert 3 in Warehouse Logistics, Business is highly regarded

What you'll get in return

• $35 per hour + Super

• Monday to Friday 6am -2.30pm

• Role will lead to permanent!

• Paid weekly & on site parking
