An educational facility based in Clayton is seeking an experienced events and building support officer. This is an excellent 6month opportunity with the high possibility of extension.
Your new role
The primary purpose of this role is to support daily building operations and events.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with day-to-day operations and venue hire enquiries under the Deputy Building Manager’s direction.
- Coordinate and organise events by securing room bookings, arranging catering, conducting site visits as required, and coordinating with different offices to ensure all relevant areas are informed.
- First point of contact for any phone call enquiries and managing the email inbox
- Responsible for ordering supplies, coordinating any maintenance, and managing storerooms.
- Assist with other general facilities – housekeeping etc.
- Coordinate access requests related to events
- Manage bookings, site visits, and communication with relevant offices.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external contacts to support projects.
- Maintain the building management site and workplace page by providing updates.
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate would have:
- Proven background in a similar events or facilities management background
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent planning and organisational skills, with experience establishing priorities and meeting deadlines
- Excellent administrative skills
- Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service with experience in maintaining a good representation of the organisation.
- Demonstrated ability to work as an effective member of a team as well as the ability to work with independence, judgement, and initiative.
- Driving licence as visits to other sites may be required.
