A prestigious university requires a driven facility professional to assist with the collation and submission of a large tender process. Reporting to the Senior Manager Facilities, you will be responsible for preparing and compiling the tender documentation for a large mechanical contract.
You will assist the Senior FM compiling and registering documentation, so ideally you will have a technical background or a good technical understanding and advanced contract and tender process skills.
It is essential you have:
- Education or training in a relevant field with at least 5 years of pertinent experience or extensive experience, preferably in a maintenance and/or property-related field
- Strong management and supervisory skills.
- Demonstrated experience in reading engineering specifications and drawings.
- Excellent planning, organising and time management skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in relevant IT skills, including database, spreadsheet, project management tools.
- High level analytical, conceptual and problem-resolution skills.
You will also have a strong client orientation and be highly skilled at establishing and maintaining productive working relationships. Your excellent written and oral communication skills and knowledge of tender requirements will be greatly utilised, as will your ability to provide leadership and support to the team.
This position will be for a contract period of up to 3 months for long service leave cover and will be paid on an agency basis at a rate of between $55-60/hr plus Super. Parking is available. This is a great opening for an experienced Facilities Manager and is only open to candidates with full working rights in Australia.
