Your new role

The Financial Manager will be responsible for the end to end financial function, overseeing a team of three.

The successful candidate will be an independent self-starter who can work autonomously, coming from a retail background with experience in running the monthly payroll.

Duties include:

• Managing day to day operations of the business

• Allocate payroll expenses accurately to different product categories or departments to calculate COGS correctly.

• Cogs reconciliations

• Oversee fortnightly payroll of 150 staff

• Liaise with an external accountant on year-end and tax reporting

• Assist with annual budgeting and cashflow forecasting

• Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements

• Develop and maintain internal reports

• Manage AP, AR and assistant accountant
  
  

What you'll need to succeed

• CA/CPA qualified
• A minimum of three years' experience in a managerial role overseeing staff
• Strong preference towards candidates who have been part of a payroll system implementation
• Proficient in XERO software
• Running end to end payroll
• Experience in a retail environment and COGS reconciliation
