Finance Officer

We are currently recruiting for temporary AP, AR and Finance Officer contracts in Cairns.

Are you experienced in Accounts Payable, Account Receivable, Payroll or a Finance Officer looking for your next challenge? Hays currently has a number of temporary contracts, based in Cairns.

Your new role

We are currently seeking Accounts Payable, Account Receivable, Payroll or Finance Officer professionals with a sound background, the ability to complete a broad range of tasks, and support a team.

In these temporary roles, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, including but not limited to:
  • Processing invoices and purchase orders, creditor payments and invoices.
  • Performing payroll duties and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
  • Assisting with financial reporting and month-end closing processes
  • Reconciling bank statements and maintaining accurate financial records
  • Providing support to the finance team as needed
  • Data Entry

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, or as a finance officer
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as XERO, MYOB and SAP
  • MS Office Suite with intermediate - advanced Excel
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Immediate availability for temporary roles
