As a Forklift Operator, you will play a vital role in supporting the logistics and operations that enable the fire department to respond effectively to emergencies.

Key Responsibilities:
Safely and efficiently operate forklifts to transport equipment, supplies, and materials within the fire department facilities.
Assist in loading and unloading emergency response vehicles and supply trucks.
Organise and store equipment and supplies in designated areas, ensuring accurate inventory records.
Conduct routine checks on forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition and report any issues for maintenance.
Collaborate with logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of essential supplies during emergency situations.
Adhere to workplace safety standards to prevent accidents and ensure the safe handling of materials.
Perform general warehouse duties as needed, including manual handling and stock movement.
Requirements:
Valid forklift certification required.
Previous experience operating forklifts in a logistics or emergency services environment preferred.
Ability to perform tasks involving heavy lifting and repetitive movements.
Strong organisational skills and focus on safety and accuracy.
Positive attitude and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
