This is a well-established FMCG business based in Melbourne, who are looking to recruit a highly experienced FP&A Accountant for their finance team. The business is well-established and has been operating in Victoria and across Australia for 30+ years.

Your new role

This role will see you work closely with a range of internal teams and external suppliers to monitor and improve the financial position of the company. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Collaborate with a broad variety of partners to manage P&L, monitor budget, and communicate risks/opportunities.
• Oversee product costing, control variances, and review strategies to improve gross margins.
• Analyse selling prices and gross margins, and control inventory and maintain sustainable stock levels.
• Manage monthly productivity savings and support cost-saving initiatives.
• Handle month-end journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations, and report monthly results for business productivity.
• Perform ad hoc business analyses as needed, and identify and monitor risks and opportunities.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to be considered for this position, it is essential that you have:

• A qualification in accounting or business with proven relevant experience.
• Experience within a production, supply chain, or FMCG environment, with beverage production being highly regarded.
• Proficiency in Excel and Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to make executive summaries.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to influence stakeholders.
• Strong business, financial, and commercial acumen, and project management skills.
• Full and unrestricted rights to work in Australia.
