Hays have partnered with Australia’s leading counter-drone protection organisations, looking for experienced FPGA Engineers to join their organisation on a permanent basis. Their key focus areas include RF sensing, AI and machine learning, sensor fusion, electronic warfare, rapid prototyping, and MIL-SPEC manufacturing.
Responsibilities:
- Solve technically complex, challenging problems to support the development and role out of the project.
- Implement complex digital signal processing algorithms into production grade firmware.
- Be involved in the researching, scoping, designing, development, and implementation of embedded software systems, to support wide frequency RF digital data signal processing.
- Proprietary and open standard transmission protocol identification and data recovery.
Experience required:
- Hold a relevant degree in Electronic Engineering or similar, or equivalent working experience.
- Linux environment experience
- Prior experience with programming, verifying Verilog, debugging, SystemVerilog or VHDL.
- Experienced with FPGA software tools used for development (Vivado, Vitis, Quartus).
- Knowledge with the design and implementation of high-throughput, low-latency and fully pipelining FPGA architectures.
- Design automated Verification and Validation framework experience.
- Understanding of C/C++ firmware within FPGA modules, and familiarity with scripting languages (Python).
