Your new company
Seeking a resilient and empathetic candidate to join this not-for-profit organisation that supports vulnerable individuals going through a breast cancer journey. Advocating, connecting and supporting individuals by providing resources to those in need, from diagnosis to treatment, they work alongside health professionals and the government to champion improvements to the healthcare system for breast cancer.
Your new role
Working on a casual temporary basis, this role is taking inbound calls from individuals seeking support during each stage of their breast cancer journey. This organisation supports over 150,000 women and men, informing, representing and connecting them.
The nature of conversations will vary, but it will be your duty to be a kind and empathetic ear, while extracting information from the caller to understand what the best resources are to support their enquiry. They may have received new information from a doctor and need to understand the complex language, or have just been diagnosed and don't know where to start on this journey. There is no KPI around call length, but the right candidate will be able to guide the conversation in the right direction to keep it moving forward and resolved. What you'll need to succeed
Ideally, the perfect candidate will have healthcare experience and be confident on the phone.
