HR Business Partner (IR Focus)

HR Business Partner with a strong IR focus, 11 months fixed term based in southern Sydney

This is an excellent opportunity to work as an HR Business partner for a government organisation working in a small team with a salary of up to $128,000k plus super. Based in Sydney’s southern suburbs for an 11-month fixed term contract. This organisation prides itself on its collaborative and inclusive culture, and contribution to improving the lives of others.

Your new role

  • You will be primarily responsible for providing HR advice and IR advice to people managers and employees.
  • Must have strong IR and ER experience
  • Coordinate all strategic and operational aspects of the employee life cycle including recruitment, performance management, employee relations, training and development and compensation and benefits.
  • . Act as a trusted advisor on all people related matters by providing coaching, guidance, advice and assistance to managers and employees on HR issues and initiatives. Coach, mentor and develop managers to enhance their people management skills. Identify opportunities for improvement in HR processes, procedures and policies Participate in a range of HR projects
  • Must have strong IR and ER experience

What you'll need to succeed

The right candidate should have strong knowledge of all general functions in HR. It will also be advantageous if you have experience working within local government. You will need to be confident in IR, employee relations cases and strong stakeholder customer service. Strong communication and negotiation skills. A team player with an exceptional work ethic who has demonstrated skills in collaboration.
