Your new role

Our Hays Sydney CBD office is seeking an internal Information Security Officer to join the team and reporting to the Head of Information, Security and Data Protection (ISDP). It is a full-time permanent role commencing immediately.

This role focuses on supporting the development, review, implementation and maintenance of Information, Security and Data Protection (ISDP) policies, procedures and guidelines in line with the ISO 27001 standard. You will be responsible implementation of a security risk management framework, driving employee secure behaviours and liaising with a third line of defence on internal and external assurance activities. You will collaborate across multiple regions, including APAC, India, the UK, and Germany, accommodating various time zones.

Key responsibilities
Implement and maintain information security policies, procedures, and guidelines aligned with ISO 27001 standards.

• Support delivery of the ISO27001 certification roadmap.
• Ensure the effective and consistent implementation of these policies and frameworks across the business
• Conduct regular targeted campaigns to promote a culture of security
• Perform periodic simulated phishing exercise to assess employee awareness
• Collaborate with relevant business units to improve cybersecurity awareness
• Support internal or external Information, Security and Data Protection (ISDP) assurance activities.
• Manage the security management plan (SMP) activities with strategic suppliers
• Communicate security requirements to key internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop a metrics framework to effectively measure employee behaviour and compliance with policies

What you'll need to succeed

• Relevant qualifications
• Experience in information security governance, policy development, and framework implementation within a global organisation
• Knowledge of ISO 27001 standards and other security best practices.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving approach
• Commitment to delivering high-quality, prompt and efficient service to the business.
• At least 2+ years of experience working in a complex technology and business landscape
