Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of 6 technical staff, including desktop and network/infrastructure specialists.
  • Oversee the desktop environment, network, courtroom technology, wide area network, and servers.
  • Coordinate with external vendors.
  • Ensure smooth operation and maintenance of infrastructure, including patching and preventive maintenance.
  • Manage the assignment and resolution of tickets related to change, incident, housekeeping, maintenance, upgrades, and infrastructure-related projects.
  • Implement and manage IT Service Management (ITSM) practices, transitioning from a legacy system to a more disciplined approach with Marval.
  • Engage in performance management and foster a collaborative team environment.
  • Contribute to the consolidation of IT services across 35 locations, supporting approximately 700 users, including the 2nd largest video conference support in Australia.

  • Experience in managing teams in a shared resource setting (internal and vendor).
  • Strong people management skills, with a focus on performance management and team development.
  • Experience in managing support teams (e.g., desktop, infrastructure, helpdesk) is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with ITSM practices and tools.
  • Ability to coordinate and manage existing vendor agreements and ensure effective service delivery.
  • Government experience is not essential, but a strong track record in managing people and programs of work is crucial.
