An exciting Injury and Wellness Specialist position within a large, well-known organisation is now available on a full-time temporary basis.
Located in the convenient location of Docklands, the role of Injury and Wellness Specialist will be to support the organisation's Injury and Workcover space, which will see you oversee the management of early intervention injuries, end-to-end WorkCover claims and leading the return to work for both work-related and non-work-related injuries, illnesses, and conditions
You will be responsible for the following:
Provide specialist subject matter expertise in Workers Compensation Claims Management and Injury Case Management.
Manage, record and track injury management cases.
Provide case management for early intervention injuries to ensure positive recovery and sustainable outcomes are achieved.
Facilitate return to work plans and discussions
Engage with stakeholders to ensure a high level of service to injured workers.
Additional duties as required by management.
What you’ll need to succeed
Significant experience and an established working knowledge of workers' compensation, injury management and return to work.
Demonstrated experience managing complex worker's compensation claims and providing technical advice to management/stakeholders.
Strong project management and communication skills.
Demonstrated experience undertaking complex work under limited supervision.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to form robust and influential relationships.
Sound judgement and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work autonomously, and collaborate with stakeholders for specialist advice and to share learning, as appropriate.
A tertiary qualification in allied health, safety, human resources or related fields is preferable.
Experience in a complex operational / self-insurance and/or business partnering environment is preferable.
