Your new company

A state government department in Jandakot, are seeking an experienced Inventory and Supply Chain Officer to join the warehouse team. This role is being offered on an initial temporary engagement, working full-time hours Monday to Friday. You will be paid at a competitive hourly rate of $50.74 per hour + superannuation, and will be able to start immediately following a successful interview.

Your new role

Within this role, you will be responsible for:

• Providing an advisory service towards departments and units across inventory services
• Providing excellent customer service and communication with suppliers, customers and staff.
• Maintaining and updating stock catalogues
• Participating with auditing store levels on a regular basis to ensure over-stocking does not occur.
• Producing inventory management reports, reviews and adjusts stock levels as required to respond to changing markets, suppliers and customer requirements.
• Assisting the Team Leader Goods-In to develop and maintain a procurement plan for all inventory items.
• Managing cycle stocktakes for the warehouse and investigating discrepancies.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to be considered, you will need:

• Previous experience in supply chain operations and inventory management
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong IT skills with experience using warehouse software systems
• Previous government experience would be highly considered
• Unlimited work rights (candidates on a working holiday or student visa are unable to be considered)
• The ability to provide a National Police Clearance and 2 employment references (1 from the last 12-months)
