Your new role
The role of Junior Project Manager sits within the IT and Information Management team and provides project management support for IT projects within the Governance, Legal, Operations and Engagement (GLOE) division.
You'll be responsible for executing a range of project management tasks related to multiple projects, including a high priority / highly complex system implementation. You will also take on general project management activities such as budget management, project coordination and project reporting, as well as providing support for procurement and recruitment activities.
What you'll need to succeed
- Demonstrated ability to organise and manage administrative tasks
- Ability to research, investigate, analyse and interpret complex issues in systems and suggest or execute suitable solutions.
- Advanced computer literacy, including experience using business software such as Microsoft 365.
- Ability to create clear individual work plan, see projects through to completion, monitor progress, manage priorities and adjust plans, undertake administrative and project management activities, identify risks and possible solutions and deliver high quality work within tight timeframes.
- Project meeting management, including agenda, invitations, papers, reports, minutes and task management / allocation
- Hand-on working experience in an AGILE environment is highly desirable.
- Contributing to the monitoring and evaluation of projects to ensure departmental objectives are met.
- Ability to communicate clearly and confidently. Demonstrates active listening and tailors communication style and message to the person or audience. Uses evidence to persuade and influence others.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to clearly articulate outcomes, listen to customers / clients / stakeholders and address their requirements within agreed time frames.
