Your new company
Our client is a leading food manufacturer and supplier of fresh poultry and prepared food solutions.
Due to an increase in workload, they require a Maintenance Fitter to join their busy team at their Thomastown site.
Your new role
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be required to provide support to the production team by providing quality and efficient maintenance services during planned maintenance, breakdowns and the installation of new plant and equipment. You will have a proactive approach to maintenance as you work with the maintenance team to locate and identify potential faults to be rectified.
What you'll need to succeed
- Qualified Maintenance Fitter or Fitter & Turner
- Experience working in a similar position within an FMCG manufacturing organisation
- Ability to trouble shoot faults on equipment with high standard diagnostic skills
- Good understanding of Preventative maintenance systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work on high-speed lines under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Machining/welding experience (Able to produce/repair a part when required)
