Our client is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Maintenance Officer to assist on projects based in the Cairns region! You will need to have flexible availability and have demonstrated experience in a similar role. There are full time and casual vacancies available.

Your new role

Your position as Maintenance Officer will be diverse and rewarding, working on various projects in the Cairns area. Working under the direction of the site manager, your new role as a Maintenance Officer will be diverse and rewarding. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include but are not limited to: fixing tiles, patching walls, painting and general facilities maintenance.


What you'll need to succeed

Your strong skills and demonstrated experience in maintenance will lead to your success in this role. You will be trustworthy, able to work autonomously and have a great attention to detail. Whether you are a qualified tradesman seeking a new opportunity, or an experienced Handyman looking for additional work, this role might be right for you. Previous experience working in a hotel/resort environment is desirable.

Skills and Qualifications required for this role:
  • Strong background in maintenance, trades or property repairs
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • White Card
  • Have a keen eye for detail and high standard of workmanship
  • Driver’s Licence
  • You are self-motivated, have a can-do attitude and are a team player
  • Strong knowledge and understand of WH&S policies and procedures
