Our state government department client based in Perth CBD is looking for an experienced Communications Manager to join their team on a short-term 6-month temporary contract.
Your new role
- Develop and implement communication strategies and corporate branding, ensuring effective communication across various channels.
- Manage day-to-day communications, including emails, newsletters, media statements, social media updates, and stakeholder events. Develop and maintain digital platforms and solutions, including websites and intranet.
- Provide advice and support to other staff on key communication matters, including emergency management and communication support.
- Provide effective leadership, ensure ethical behaviour, and comply with health and safety policies. Contribute to achieving corporate objectives and building proactive relationships with community stakeholders.
- Monitor ICT delivery, coordinate the development of Annual Reports, and ensure effective use of communication channels through drafting and reviewing content.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will have:
- Proven track record in leading and managing contemporary communications for large and complex organisations.
- Technical skills to develop and implement digital communication strategies.
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as communications, public relations or media.
