An exciting 12-Month Contract opportunity as the Marketing Director for APAC for this professional services-oriented business. Based in Sydney, the organisation's Asia-Pacific (APAC) region is a dynamic and diverse area, offering a unique blend of cultures and economic opportunities, and are looking for someone to join the team to cover a Maternity Leave Contract.
Their APAC region encompasses advanced economies like Japan and Australia, alongside rapidly growing markets such as Vietnam and Indonesia, providing the chance to work in both mature and emerging markets. Your new role
In this role, you will provide strategic leadership to a high-performing marketing team based locally in Australia, and the team in Asia, aligning regional with global business goals, creating efficiencies where centralisation of pan-regional strategies is most effective. You will engage the Executive Leadership across the region, re-educating stakeholders on the importance of investment in the MarTech stack and strategies geared toward demand generation at the top of the funnel.
You will drive performance marketing through data-driven strategies for lead generation, conversion, and pipeline growth, improving key metrics like CPA, marketing-attributed revenue, and customer retention. Collaborating with local and central teams, you will optimise campaigns across digital and traditional channels, leveraging analytics to enhance ROI. You will design targeted campaigns to strengthen client engagement and revenue impact, aligning marketing initiatives with sales objectives. Success will be measured through client engagement metrics, including satisfaction scores, upsell opportunities, and repeat business growth.
Focusing on market share, you will enhance brand equity and visibility across the APAC region, executing localised brand-building campaigns aligned with global strategies. You will monitor and improve brand performance metrics, including unaided brand recall, share of voice, and NPS.
Lastly, as part of the International Marketing Leadership team, you'll shine as a great collaborator, elevating your perspective beyond your region to contribute to the shared ambitions of the global marketing organisation. With a solutions-focused and strategic mindset, you'll navigate complexities with a balanced approach, fostering alignment and driving meaningful impact across markets.
What you'll need to succeed
The role is very strategic in nature. With a headcount of 30, and segment leads in Customer Experience, Brand & Campaigns, Engagement & Retention, and Digital Marketing, the team execute to a high degree of competency. This role is more about leading strategy and Executive-level engagement across the region.
Experience required:
- Proven track record in an Executive Marketing Leadership role where Performance Marketing / Data-driven Digital Marketing Strategies are the main drivers.
- Experience winning business cases through effective executive stakeholder engagement and business plan presentations to investment in the Marketing Tech stack
- Multi-National / Multi-Regional Leadership roles, specifically with an understanding of leading the APAC regional for an MNC
- Succeed by garnering consensus on strategies, focused on optimisation and customer experience.
