Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage multiple Associate-level CIAM Engineers. This is an initial contract of up to 12-months, with options for up to one 12-month extension. Hybrid working arrangements are available, and this opportunity is available to candidates in ACT, QLD, and VIC. An NV1 security clearance is required.

Your new role

As a Customer IAM Engineer, you’ll design, implement, and maintain customer identity and access management (CIAM) solutions. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and user-friendly CIAM features while contributing to the organisation’s broader technology objectives. Key responsibilities include:
  • Developing and managing CIAM functions, such as user registration, authentication, and profile management.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to translate project requirements into effective CIAM configurations.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and security best practices.
  • Optimising CIAM solutions for performance, scalability, and user experience.
  • Implementing automation and integrations to enhance user interactions.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining CIAM solutions.
  • A strong understanding of regulatory standards and security best practices in identity and access management.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to collaborate effectively.
  • Proven experience with CIAM platforms, such as Auth0, Okta, ForgeRock, Ping, Akamai, or equivalent (experience with any of these is highly desirable).
  • Ability to work both collaboratively in a team environment and independently to manage workload and priorities.
  • Experience working in a cloud-based Data Lake or Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) environment.
  • Process mapping skills to translate discussions into data flows and documentation.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to working with stakeholders.
  • Hold an active or be eligible to obtain an NV1 security clearance.
