Hays Healthcare are excited to be partnering with a reputable legal association who are looking for an Organisational Psychologist and Wellbeing Manager to join their team in Melbourne on a permanent basis. This is a newly created role that will focus on the provision of strategic direction in psychological health and safety, advice and wellbeing services within the association. This is a non-clinical opportunity with an operational and strategic focus.
Your new role
The Organisational Psychologist/Wellbeing Manager will support and enhance the performance of the legal profession and will drive organisational culture in relation to psychosocial safety, member and employee wellbeing. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and implementation of mental health and relationship management frameworks, strategies and programs with an early intervention, education and risk minimisation focus.
Key responsibilities of the position:
• Manage the development and implementation of a comprehensive psychological safety and wellbeing support strategy, frameworks, programs, organisational capability and awareness.
• Drive a psychological safety culture across the organisation
• Work in collaboration with leadership, Executives and the Health and Wellbeing committee to help maintain high-functioning barristers operating in challenging and intensive environments
• Provide proactive and early intervention wellbeing and workplace stressor support, conducting 1 on 1 wellbeing conversations, triaging and providing appropriate strategies and referrals as required
• Promote relevant support services and usage to enhance utilisation of service streams
• With a focus on education and awareness, design and deliver bespoke wellbeing programs, initiatives and workshops, leveraging from existing programs and initiatives
• Understand Barristers' risk profiles and impact on wellbeing. Conduct and analyse areas of practice/work-stream risk profiles and design risk-minimisation strategies and initiatives
• Review, design and enhance organisational policies, procedures, programs and initiatives through a psychological safety lens. Collaborate with leadership, members and employees to identify and monitor key metrics, analyse data and evaluate the effectiveness and impact of wellbeing strategies. Design programs/initiatives based on findings.
• Manage critical incidents; providing mental health support, triage and refer to appropriate support services/Practitioners
• Develop a contemporary approach to wellbeing management, ensuring consistency with WHS legislation and programs
• Provide coaching support in relation to psychological health and safety issues impacting member wellbeing
What you'll need to succeed
• Qualified Psychologist; AHPRA Registration with the Psychology Board of Australia and hold a currency of practice
• Experience/understanding of a legal environment, professional services, health and wellbeing support services or corporate environment highly regarded
• Legal qualifications highly regarded
• Demonstrated experience in providing advice on high impact/risk matters at senior levels and sound proficiency in drafting and presenting written documentation
• Sound knowledge of WHS legislation, regulatory and compliance requirements
• Professional, personable and mature attitude with ability to work well with people across all levels
• Demonstrate outstanding levels of service and relationship building
• Resilient with the ability to implement effective courses of action in difficult situations
