Your new role
There is a requirement for a Parking Officer to work within the parking enforcement team on a temporary basis. You will be conducting foot patrols and liaising with members of the public in relation to Road Rules, patrolling in allocated areas such as shopping precincts and residential streets to enforce the Road Rules and issuing parking infringements when required.
What you'll need to succeed
You will possess good customer service skills and communication skills as well as previous conflict management experience. You will also have the ability to defuse difficult situations and handle aggressive members of the public. You will have a high level of fitness as this role will involve lots of walking. You may have previously worked as a Parking Officer and will have previous experience working in a customer-facing role and possess the ability to de-escalate situations. You will be willing to learn and understand the process of parking enforcement.
