Portable Technician
Looking for a Portable Technician to commence ASAP in the Bowen Basin!

Our client is a leading provider of fire safety and security solutions, dedicated to protecting businesses and organisations across the country. They offer a comprehensive range of services, including fire detection and suppression systems, security alarms, and monitoring services. Their team of experts ensures that businesses are safeguarded against potential risks, providing peace of mind and reliable protection. They are currently looking for a Portable Technician to commence ASAP in the Bowen Basin!
Your new role
- Maintaining and servicing portable fire equipment while advising on fire protection and safety systems to meet Australian Standards
- Ensuring high levels of customer service and guidance to our clients
- Utilising power tools to install and repair portable fire safety equipment, including extinguishers and fire blankets
- Availability for overtime work at mining or remote sites
- Organising and planning your schedule using a Field Service mobile application
What you'll need to succeed
- QBCC Portable Licence or Certificate II in Fire Protection – desirable
- Driver’s licence
- Coal Board Medical & Standard 11 – or willing to obtain
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
- Ability to complete a police check
- Contactable references
- Living locally in the Mackay region (or willing to relocate – assistance provided)
What you'll get in return
If successful, you will join our esteemed client in a directly full-time position working within the Bowen Basin. During your time on site, all meals and accommodation will be provided. You will be given a site allowance, as well as LAHA and other benefits, including a service vehicle (not for personal use). Relocation assistance can also be provided to Mackay from anywhere in Australia. If you have a QBCC Portable licence from another state, it will also be converted for you with all costs covered.
