This organisation is seeking a Procurement Manager to provide strategic procurement and contract management advice and support across the business. This role will ensure compliance with Projects Management Frameworks and is responsible for comprehensive reporting.

The Procurement Manager provides strategic procurement and contract management advice and support across the business. This role also ensures compliance with Project Management Framework and is responsible for comprehensive project reporting.

Contracts & Procurement
  • Review all procurement tender/quotation documentation, evaluation reports, and contract formation in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring all risks are identified, addressed, and documented.
  • Oversee all aspects of procurement for the Corporate Services directorate.
  • Provide expert advice on all procurements, including contract development and management.
  • Resolve complex contractual negotiations and disputes, seeking legal advice when necessary, through liaison with stakeholders.
  • Monitor and report on procurement operational activities, identifying procurements that are at risk.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, Western Australian Procurement Rules, Government procurement policies, Agency Directions, and internal policies.
  • Conduct audits of procurement processes and policies as required.
  • Identify and pursue new contract opportunities, participate in re-engineering existing contracts, and establish Agency Specific Panels.
  • Develop procurement policies, standards, templates (including contracts), guidelines, and process improvements.
  • Deliver training and raise awareness on procurement processes and contract management.
  • Liaise with other agencies and key stakeholders on procurement matters.

Project Management
  • Ensure adherence to the Project Management Framework, including project gateways.
  • Coordinate and review monthly project reports prepared by each Directorate, and prepare summary reports for Board meetings to identify projects at risk (time, budget).
  • Develop project management policies, standards, templates, guidelines, and process improvements.
  • Provide training on the project management framework.
What you'll need to succeed
  • Previous government or public sector experience
  • Proven experience working on capital projects
