A government team in Cockburn are seeking an experienced Procurement Officer to join the team. This role is being offered on an initial 6-month temporary contract, working full-time hours and paying a competitive hourly rate.
Your new role
As the Procurement Officer, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and managing low-risk procurement and contract processes
- Developing and maintaining relationships with key suppliers to ensure successful contract outcomes
- Provides advice to customers, contractors and potential suppliers on routine procurement and contract management matters
- Leading and/ supporting the Senior Category Manager to deliver specific sourcing activities
- Develops key performance indicators and contract management plans
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be considered, you will need:
- Previous experience in a procurement-related position (essential)
- Previous experience in handling WA Government procurement processes (essential)
- Unlimited work restrictions (candidates on a Working Holiday Visa are unable to be considered)
- Advanced communication and organisation skills
- Excellent initiative and the ability to work well in a team
In addition to the above, you will also be required to provide a National Police Clearance and two references, with one being from the last 12-months.
