Join our dynamic Supply Chain team as a Purchasing Officer, where you'll play a crucial role in optimising purchasing activities to meet production delivery and cost targets. You will manage the entire lifecycle of project-related purchase orders, maintaining and updating data, and interpreting engineering and specification documents. Additionally, it includes managing suppliers to ensure they meet quality, delivery, and cost standard ensuring quality, delivery, and cost requirements are met, providing exceptional support to project and sales teams
Key responsibilities of your new role
- Manage quotations and order placements to achieve the best commercial outcomes.
- Select and liaise with suppliers to ensure optimal cost, delivery, and quality.
- Oversee the purchase order lifecycle from placement to delivery.
- Expedite orders and maintain accurate ship date information.
- Provide outstanding customer service and troubleshooting support.
- Enter and manage purchase order information in our ERP system.
- Coordinate domestic and international orders with delivery partners.
- Ensure purchase order confirmations adhere to engineering specifications.
- Support project teams with high-priority tasks and continuous improvement initiatives.
What you'll need to succeed

- Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
- Effective communication with diverse stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with strong written and verbal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
- CIPS or APICS Certification highly desirable
