Responsibilities:
- Trim and debone various cuts of meat
- Cut, mince, and grind meat into specified shapes and sizes
- Prepare crumbed cuts of meat to add variety to our product range
- Marinate meat cuts using a range of delicious seasonings
- Cure special cuts of meat following our company's recipes and standards
Smallgoods Production:
- Select high-quality meat for smallgoods production
- Prepare and process meat for smallgoods, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Operate machines safely and efficiently for grinding, mixing, mincing, and tenderising
- Make seasonings and pickles, ensuring consistent flavour profiles
- Operate sausage filling machines to produce a variety of sausages
- Utilise smoking chambers for smoked meats and sausages
- Ensure all products meet our company's quality standards
- Regularly check products for consistency, freshness, and presentation
- Adhere to health and safety regulations
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment
Requirements:
- Certificate III in meat processing (retail butcher)
- 2–3 years of experience as a butcher
- Understanding of food safety guidelines
- Strong customer service skills
