You will gain exposure to key stakeholders and work alongside senior level management to work on maintaining the quality management systems (QMS). This role reports directly to the managing director. This position will be leading a small team across the safety and quality team and will provide you with management and mentoring opportunities.

Key Responsibilities;

• Maintain the Quality Management System (QMS), Work Health, Safety Management System (WHSMS) and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) system
• Develop and maintain audit programs that support compliance assurance of said management systems.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes to address quality, safety and risk issues
• Collaborate with business units and departments to develop and implement safety and quality improvement initiatives.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators for safety, quality and risk metrics.
• Train and mentor members of the safety and quality support team
• Oversee client feedback and complaints, incident and hazard notifications
  
  

What you'll need to succeed

• Formal qualification in Quality Management Systems and/or Work Health and Safety Management Systems.
• Proven experience in management of small teams and interfacing with company senior management.
• Proven knowledge of quality and safety assurance in industry
• Strong understanding of quality assurance methodologies, tools, and practices.
• Strong understanding of quality and safety certification standards ISO 9001 and ISO 45001, etc.
• Australian Citizenship is essential
• Previous experience in defence or aviation is desirable.
